PURPOSE:
Identify and contact prospective clients through telephone, generate sales opportunities, and service existing accounts to achieve sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the tele-sale of MCB consumable products.
2. Provide day to day support to the whole sales team, e.g. customer inquiry handling, introduction of products if potential customer calls in and etc.
3. Ensure that AB products are represented in the territory in order to achieve quarterly and annual targets.
4. Maintain and develop business opportunities in the territory through telephone.
5. Develop relationships with key accounts and general customers.
6. Attend seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations by close work with marketing team within the territory in order to promote company’s business.
7. Prepare sales forecast report of the designated territory.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor degree in life science or equivalent.
• 2 years related relevant experience, preferably selling Molecular Biology products.
• Excellent communication skill to deal with the scientific communication with customers.
• Good presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of the Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry.
• Computer literacy on Microsoft Office Software.
• The ability to build, maintain and nurture long-term relationships with customers.

Position Scope:
This role is equally focused on driving excellence in customer applications & technical support for both the pre-sales process and post-sales installation and training
Interacts with Applied Biosystems customers, field sales, sales managers, product marketing and technical support staff

Education/Experience:
1. Master or PhD degree major in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a Diploma level with 2-3 years of proven industry experience. Prefer Biochemistry, especially Molecular Biology.
2. Requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry research or application. Preferred experience in Health Care or Biotech & large corporations.

PURPOSE:
• This role is heavily focused on strategic selling of AB consumable products in China region and identifying qualified opportunities.
• Interacts with field sales, marketing and technical support staff to drive sales growing for consumable products.
• Works closely with sales, technical product specialists and marketing staff to build up and maintain relationships in key accounts through out the region responsible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development
1. Identify new sales opportunities and work closely with the sales team to manage the sales process.
2. Identify the customer needs to provide feedback to product management for developing solutions that are focused on the molecular biology market.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key customer accounts as well as market influencers.
4. Build up and develop local dealers, cooperate with the dealers to well manage business through dealer.
Application Expertise
1. Ensure that sales, support and service are kept informed of any technical, or strategic issues that may affect their roles.
2. Providing Sales with applications advice, ensuring products are targeted appropriately to satisfy customer needs and expectations.
Market and Competitive Intelligence
1. Use customer relationships, technical expertise and product knowledge to assist local and regional marketing in the planning and coordination of activities such as product launches, promotional campaigns, marketing communications, market research and competitive activity.
2. Provide technical information and guidance, where required, to support strategic planning revenue planning, and monthly forecast processes.
3. Ensure that marketing receive product related feedback from customers and the field to be passed back to the relevant product groups.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in a scientific discipline (molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry required. Completion of an advanced degree in business (MBA) or related science is preferred.
• Must be perceived as an “industry expert” and posses the ability to deliver presentations to both small audiences (customers) as well as large audiences (conferences/trade shows).
Product and Market Knowledge
• Experience and understanding of Applied Biosystems products and how they can be applied to the local molecular biology industry.
