Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for:
• Control and organization of direct sales, installation, training and high-end technical support of equipment and reagent systems in the country/region
• Managing and marketing, logistic support and growth of new and existing market segments with relevant products and helping to achieve financial and marketing objectives

Job Responsibilities
Technical Support
• Providing high-end technical, and logistic support to customers and the company within the country or region to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved
• Responsible for the high level of technical and sales support for the sales representatives and relevant technical support staff
• Coordination of designated instrument evaluations and assist in development of associated test protocols
• Coordination of designated instrument installations for customer training, Bio-Rad staff training and use of associated products
Product Support
• Responsible for controlling all elements relating to the sales of products within product portfolio including planning, evaluations, demonstrations, installations and post sales support (secondary responsibility)
• Liaise with marketing and division support personnel to ensure that up to date product information is communicated
• Liaise with Service Dept to ensure instruments meet specifications and that appropriate levels of maintenance and service is achieved
• Take responsibility for the support of additional product ranges wherever appropriate. Details to be set out as products become available
• It is expected that 60% of the time is spent in the field
Marketing
• Maintain excellent market knowledge of all major prospects and local competitor activities and report this information to the Product Manager
• Advise on and recommend product marketing strategies including promotion, advertising, pricing and distribution and join relevant industry societies
• Liaise with Product Manager in the formulation of sales strategies and the negotiation of product pricing
• Coordinate and oversee the planning and implementation of relevant workshops, conferences and seminars
• Manage relationships with key opinion leaders across product portfolio
Financial/Sales
• Achieve sales, marketing and financial objectives for relevant products
• Advise on maintenance of inventory levels so that the company and customer expectations are met
• Develop new initiatives to grow sales and profit lines
• Promote maximum usage of Bio-Rad products on all systems in all customer sites
Training
• Responsible for the initial and ongoing technical training of representatives (others are required) in the relevant product areas
• Ensure that customer sites are effectively trained on Bio-Rad systems
• Ensure the effective learning of Distributor FAS
Administration
• Responsible for the maintenance of technical files and information as well as maintaining a customer and prospect database
Self-Development –
• Ensure that a Performance Management Plan is agreed and in place
• Implement an Individual Development Plan

Education:
Minimum Education Required
• Degree in Biomedical/Biosciences or Medical
Preferred Education
• Master or PhD in Science or Marketing/Business qualifications
• Membership of relevant associations and learned societies
Experience:
• Excellent technical and practical knowledge of technologies used in Life Sciences
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with proven track records
• Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business/marketing plans
• Good working knowledge of life science
• Knowledge of the “Sale Process”
