Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented field business manager who will be responsible in driving G China (China, Taiwan and HK) growth for Agilent Life Science Research products (LSR) which carries the Microarray, Bioinfirmatics Software, Bioreagents (Stratagene) and Automation products lines( V11) which reside in Agilent Life Science Group. You will lead a dynamic team of sale(product specialists) and application (application manager, application scientists). Your leadership is instrumental in ensuring that the team can work towards achieving the sale goals and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your strong sale experience and genomics background would help to ensure that you can bring Agilent genomics solution to our customers. Part of your strength is to also understand our channel partners challenges and bring solutions to help deliver their sale objectives. You will also work closely with US Solution Unit(SU) team through sale planning sessions and business stratey discussions to ensure alignment for the China LSR business. As the business grows, you are also tasked to chart the growth objectives and direction of this growing part of China Life Science business. You also need to partner with the China Life Science colleagues in different business units such as marketing and marketing support to ensure that you can deliver the sale strategies for G China LSR.

Summary of Duties:
a) Manage and plan sale and application team activities to ensure it align with G China LSR sale strategies and program
b) Proactively acts to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries; actively creates business opportunities
c) Defines and executes territory sales programs through direct and distributors across China
d) Penetrate Agilent genomics products including QPCR, Bioanalysers and bioreagents into China market through direct sale and distributors to improve existing customers relationships and look out for new opportunities, market development
e) Help distributors to secure sales, liaise with prospective funnel and help China genomics distributor achieve sale revenue,
f) sustain business and customer satisfaction
g) beat competitors based on selling and technical skills,
h) Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity

Qualification:
- Minimum MS degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics or equivalent;
- Solid technical knowledge in basic molecular biology and good domain knowledge in genomics/microarray
- 5+ yrs hands-on sale management experience in biotechnology/ genomics preferred;
- Ability to work with multiple complex sales opportunities at multiple levels within prospective customer organizations
- Excellent communication and public presentation skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Solid team player with good self management, organizational and prioritization skills;
- Excellent computer operation experience (PC preferred) and familiar with applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and NetMeeting.
- Good in talking and writing in English
- Flexibility in working hours and available for 50% or more business.

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the worldwide Food Testing team for the Chemical Analysis Solutions Unit of Agilent Technologies. The Country Segment Manager will be responsible for understanding the inter-relationships and budget processes of the government ministries, developing VIP relationships, and leading strategic technical collaborations with key customers. The Country Segment Manager will also develop VIP relationships and lead strategic technical collaborations with companies in the private sector that will play a major role in the development of the food safety and quality testing programs in China. This position will key to help Agilent Technologies win business in the Food Testing market.

The Country Segment Manager will report into the Worldwide Food Business manager in the Chemical Analysis Solutions Unit. The Country Segment Manager will be part of the WW business team that will create awareness for Agilent's leadership in Food Testing, preference for our products and increased market share.

Responsibilities
1. Maintains key relationships and collaborations with government and private sector leaders
2. Develops a country marketing and business plan as part of the worldwide Food Testing marketing and business plan
3. Identifies regional growth opportunities and develops short and long-term strategic plans with the local channels to increase sales
4. Leads, collects and summarizes the industry market trends, customer needs and competitive data in the government and private sectors
5. Helps define new product solutions, marketing programs and strategic plans for the Food Testing market in China.

Qualifications - Must Requirements
strong management ability to work in a dynamic and progressive environment. People management experience is required in setting objectives, coaching for result, performance management etc. roles of responsibility for a people manager. Here's where your influential leadership ability will really make an impact.

• University Degree in the physical or biological sciences with 10 years work experience, 5+ years experience in the government or private sector of the Food, Flavors and Fragrances Testing industry
• Must have a proven track record of developing and leading impactful results through marketing programs and key customer relationships
• Strong leadership ability to work collaboratively across corporate Divisions and regional Marketing Centers to reach common goals without relying on positional authority
• Expertise to understand changes in customer needs, market trends and competitive conditions in the industry and recommend and implement action plans to increase business and market share
• Understanding of Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry or Biological techniques tools used in Food Testing laboratories
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration and team work skills.
• Must be available for travel up to 35-40%
