Abstract：This is the fourth edition of this book listing mass spectra and retention times of common constituents of plant essential oils. An additional 600 compounds have been added to this edition, and the sources of each compound have been included. All the compounds have been analysed on an HP5970 mass spectrometer using HP Chemstation software. Part A provides a brief introduction to the analysis of essential oils by combined gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. Part B then provides an alphabetical listing of compounds with their retention time and arithmetic retention index on DB-5, a list of compounds in order of their retention time and arithmetic index on DB 5, a list of the mass spectra and structures of compounds listed in order of their retention time/arithmetic index on DB 5, and a cross index of common names.
